Hi! We’re Katy and Brian — the parents behind Jet Set Families, and the proud copilots to our three favorite travel buddies: Clara, Maggie, and Jack.

We’re a Texas family with a big love for wide-open roads, passport stamps, and the kind of adventures that leave kids sandy, sleepy, and smiling. Whether we’re navigating a switchback trail in the mountains, mastering public transit in a new country, or conquering a 10-hour road trip with nothing but snacks and a playlist, we believe the world is best learned by doing — together.

How It All Started

Our travel obsession began the way most great stories do: accidentally.

One summer road trip turned into, “What if we went a little farther?” That sparked a curiosity that led us from small-town ice cream shops to international layovers, from Texas state parks to wandering through old cities we couldn’t pronounce until we got there.

Travel stopped being something we planned occasionally and became part of our family identity — a shared language spoken in maps, memories, and the occasional suitcase explosion.

History tastes better in a new country. Science makes sense when you’re ankle-deep in a tide pool. Geography sticks when you cross borders instead of memorizing them.

Adventure doesn’t need a plane ticket.
A great trip can start in your driveway. Some of our best memories were fueled by gas station coffee and a car full of crumbs.
